Tips to get the most out of your
courier service
What kind of
insurance coverage is provided for shipments? If a
shipment is lost, what is the procedure to submit a
claim?
Every shipment is covered for $50 value.
Extra insurance is available upon request. If a shipment
is lost or damaged by a Disher broker, the client simply has
to inform us. Disher carries $50,000 cargo insurance. A claim
would be made to the insurance
company.

Broker/Employee of the
Month
There are many
reasons why Roland Superville is one of the top
drivers with Disher Courier and the most senior in
tenure. Roland is one of our most reliable and
consistent drivers. He knows the city as well as anyone
and is always thinking. But, most important of all,
Roland is by far the most concientious driver in regards
to his delivery due times.
Delivery due times are important to our
clients and more deliveries mean more money for our
brokers as they work on commissions. This can be a
conflict of interests for some drivers, but never for
Roland. Getting his deliveries done on time is his
priority and he displays this everyday with his
deliveries and sometimes refusing deliveries if it
jeopardizes his due times.
Congratulations
Roland as May's "Broker/Employee of the
Month", and thanks for making Disher Courier one of the
top couriers in the
GTA. |
Having Fun in the Sun Without Spending All Your
Money!
 Summer
is a time to spend with family, and finding
time to enjoy together as a family is one of the
most joyful parts of the summer months. However,
one of the largest unfortunate obstacles to this
currently is the economy. Unfortunately, many, many
households no longer have the means to take vacations
anymore or cannot afford to take the time off of work,
let alone the cost to spend even a day at Disney Land.
Fortunately, however, there is a lot of fun that can be
had in the summertime that's a lot closer to
home.
One of the greatest resources that you have closer
to home for your summertime activities is the parks in
your area. Parks are one of our greatest recreational
resources and yet they go grossly underutilized by a
huge amount of the population. These parks are not only
often beautiful green spaces with features like BBQ or
fire pits, they quite often also have pools and other
water recreational areas, a great place to just relax
with the family and enjoy being out of doors on a nice
day.
If you go to a larger State Park instead of a City
Park, there are often even larger things for you to
enjoy. Many feature a lake or a river that you can enjoy
with a boat rental, or offer cabin rentals or camping
spaces for you to spend a few nights out in the open.
Camping in a tent is a great way to minimize the amount
you are spending while on vacation, and yet is still a
lot of fun, and something almost every member of a
family is sure to enjoy. Check online for State Parks in
your area and to see what sorts of facilities are
offered there.

Montreal: A
Fabulous Weekend Getaway
Montreal is a
great destination for a weekend of fun with family,
friends, or your significant other. As the largest city
in Quebec, a province which stands unique with a
different culture and provincial language than the rest
of Canada, Montreal is one of the busiest and most
interesting cities in Canada. A historic city located on
an island, Montreal was once called Ville-Marie, but now
stands as a perfect example of the modern metropolitan
and multicultural cities which Canada has become known
for. A trip to this culturally diverse,
cosmopolitan city is an affordable vacation
alternative especially in these tough economic times.
The city of Montreal features many
attractions that will appeal to its visitors. Mount
Royal, the hill which the city was built
around, is a popular destination for many people
out for a walk. On cooler days, the famous underground
city will provide shopping, theatres, and restaurants
all connected by a series of underground
walkways. Mont-Tremblant Resort nestled in the
Laurentian Mountains is another popular spot for family
fun all year round. Hiking, horse riding, biking and
golfing are just some of the activities that you can
enjoy here on a warm summer day.
There are also historic buildings and
churches within the city that anyone interested in
history and architecture should be sure to see during
their stay in the city, such as the Notre-Dame de
Montreal Basilica, the Notre Dame du Bon Secours, and
the entire city of old Montreal are all worth taking the
time to see. Montreal offers old world charm, a
multicultural atmosphere, and some of the most
significant sites in Canadian history all within a
single city.
